Daniel Caleb Matson, February 10, 1935 to January 17, 2023. Husband, father, grandfather, artist, poet, attorney, faithful servant, dreamer, traveler, friend. He shed a form and figure that no longer served its purpose, to be with his spiritual Father. He loved to escape and create with a glass of wine and a paintbrush, or to socialize and deliberate with colleagues and his family in Christ. His creativity and talents touched so many, and his works continue to be cherished. A quiet pioneer and a sage in his profession. His time in this life was greatly extended by his inability to pursue his dream of sailing around the world. A humble, kind, and gentle man who will be remembered and missed by many. He is survived by Marleen, his rock, college sweetheart, and wife of 60 years, sons, Scott (Mayumi) and Mark, grandchildren: Alex, Zach, Tyler, and Nicolas, and brother, Dave (Arlene). Thank you to everyone who came to spend time with him, it meant so much to him, and to us. A memorial service will be held at a later time. Online condolences may be made at www.cremationyourway.com.
